Week 6

Flew back to Vancouver from Kelowna bright and early to make it back for afternoon tutorial. Was lucky to escape Kelowna just as it hit the negative degree ranges. Kelowna airport is tiny...like tiny. I had breakfast and a coffee at the white spot past security since I was not going to make it through the day without either. Usually I am great at traveling since I have traveled so much via plane, car, and train in the past 4 years but for some reason this plane ride was the worst experience ever. Not because of the trip in general or the airline, it was a full plane and so hot, that by the time we landed I was basically running off the plane.

This was probably one of the longest and shortest weeks I have had yet. Every day except Thursday, started at 2 and boy was I drained by the time it hit 2pm since my mornings were spent studying for my weekly quiz.

Thursday was a great day, as the quiz was not bad, although you could say the amount of med chem material was a shock. Didn't get as screwed over as I thought I would have since I was able to reason through most of the options. Thursdays at Starbucks are also happy hour and this week 50% lattes...how could I pass that up?

I am not a big fan of spending my 3 day weekends by myself on campus since everyone goes home and campus seems so empty. This weekend decided to escape across the lions bridge over to North Van.

SUNDAY....SNOW IS COMING

The big snow storm that Seattle has been experiencing for the past week finally made an appearance and did not disappoint. Spent all day Sunday at a coffee shop (Bean Around the World-which I will not be going back since they treat their customers so poorly). Compared to Kelowna, Vancouver is NOT equipped in any way to handle the snow. The buses basically stopped working so I had a blast walking 20 minutes home in my sneakers. To treat myself after the horrendous trek, I stopped by DoughGirls Bakery to get a London Fog and a Valentine's cookie box since all I wanted to do was sit in bed with my cookies and something warm to drink with Netflix....that lasted maybe 2 hours before I got stressed and decided to go back to studying.

Update on the cookie box.....I finished it in 2 days...woops...snow just makes me lazy and hungry.
