Week 15- FINAL WEEK of Year 1

Last week of term 2 which means year 1 finally came to an end. The week started out with the written integrated comprehensive exam which I actually had a lot of fun with. I was the most worried for the written portion of the integratied comprehensive exam since I did not know what to expect but all my practice and my love for care plans and case studies prepared me well.

Prepping for the practical exam is always hard to do since you know what to expect since there are 7 set 7 minute stations and 2 case work ups. All you can do is read your CTC, know your conditions, practice what was done in lab, and know how to patient counsel any drug like the back of your hand.

Having a birthday in the beginning of April I can always count on having some big exam falling on the same day. This year, the exam to fall on my birthday was the practical integrated comprehensive exam which went a lot better than expected since not only did they take away the whistle (which caused major PTSD), I knew what to expect coming into the exam since I had done a practical exam in the previous term.

At the end of the all, I still had an amazing birthday and an amazing end to year 1. Well until practicum is done in July then I will (technically) be officially done with year 1.
